France - Brittany self guided tour GR34 -Saint Brieuc to Paimpol and Brehat Island

Self-guided hiking tour around Brittany from Saint Brieuc to Paimpol

This walk takes place in the heart of the Bay of Saint Brieuc and its large beaches, the highest cliffs of Brittany and an amazing discovery of the peaceful flowered Brehat island and its mild climate. You will also enjoy walking along the Coast du Goelo and its beautiful sceneries.

This part of GR34 is a combination of Armor (Sea) and Argoat (Land), a love pact adorned by the typical Brittany atmosphere : small fishing ports, granite villages, cliffs, beaches.

The Cotes d Armor ( Armor Coast) is a vast plateau where the rivers have carved deep valleys to reach the sea which culminates with the cliffs of Plouha, the highest of Brittany. This hiking part is more challenging with its 100m high cliffs.

The GR34 is a trail also called the Sentier des Douaniers or Smugglers footpath following the 1800 km of coastline in Brittany.

Our expert of this coastline tour can customize your trip on the section of your choice. Please send me an email if you would like a walk on this long distance trail even if the part you would like to walk is not online.
