The Vezelay Way between La Réole and St Jean-Pied-de-Port

The Vezelay Route is a long distance itinerary that starts in Burgundy at Le Vezelay Cathedral and follows southwards the waymarked paths towards Bourges, Châteauroux, Limoges, Perigueux, Mont de Marsan and arrives at the final stopover near the Spanish border in St Jean Pied de Port where nearly all the routes converge before heading the Camino Frances in Spain.
This part of the Vezelay Way starts in La Réole in Aquitaine near Bordeaux, quickly reaches the pinewood forest in the Natural park of Gascony for 4 stages up to Mont de Marsan and the hilly Chalosse area. The green hilly landscape of Bearn and Pays Basque lead you to the start of the Camino Frances.
